There is something lunar about Moon Dust.

Soft lavender, misty blue and pieces of earthy ironstone move across her surface, with tiny flashes of pink, green and violet appearing in the light.

She looks almost like a fragment broken from the surface of some distant moon. Rocky. Pale. Imperfect. And then suddenly full of colour.

BOULDER OPAL

Boulder opal is the kind of stone you can keep looking at. The longer you look, the more it reveals: blue, green, violet, red, gold… tiny flashes of light that seem to move as you turn the stone.

It reminds me of the cosmos. Galaxies, the Milky Way, and light travelling through endless space. And at the same time, it is incredibly earthly.

Boulder opal forms within ironstone, deep in the earth, over an immense span of time. The natural ironstone remains part of the stone, creating the dark, earthy landscapes between those almost otherworldly flashes of colour.

Earth and cosmos in one stone.

Maybe that is what draws me to them so much. Those flashes of light almost feel like energy made visible. Something you cannot really hold onto or explain, but somehow you can feel it. A tiny piece of earth, carrying a glimpse of infinity.

Every Boulder Opal is formed differently by nature. Its colours, patterns, ironstone and flashes of light belong to that stone alone, making every pendant a completely unique piece.
